Nv. Goncharova et al., AN ANALYSIS OF CAUSES OF EMBRITTLEMENT IN CHROMIUM-NICKEL STEELS WITHTITANIUM, Metal science and heat treatment, 40(1-2), 1998, pp. 71-75
The embrittlement of steel 08Kh15N5D2T in del;delayed cooling is a con
sequence of the unfavorable effect of the segregating carbide and nitr
ide phases over the boundaries of primary austenite grains. The maximu
m possible content of these segregations and their proportion are comp
uted using the method of thermodynamic simulation. The contribution of
the segregating phases to the embrittlement and the connection betwee
n the chemical composition of the steel and its mechanical properties
are analyzed.
