Abstract
Comprehensive stroke rehabilitation is best: provided by a goal-direct ed, interdisciplinary team. All team members need to be aware ui the p rocess of stroke rehabilitation and its application in various rehabil itation settings. The physician's role is to monitor the patient's med ical status and educate the team regarding appropriate precautions. Pa tients with stroke are at risk fur particular complications as a resul t of impairment and disability. Therapeutic interventions and preventi ve measures should be made in order to help patients achieve maximal r esponse to therapy and optimal functional recovery.
