Abstract
A reaction between ((dimethylamino)methyl)ferrocene and the enantiomer ically pure complex cis-[PtCl2(S-SOMeC6H4Me-p)(2)] affords the two eas ily separable cycloplatinated SsRp and SsSp diastereoisomers 4 and 5, respectively. The absolute configuration of 4 was established by an X- ray study. Diastereomers 4 and 5 react with PPh3 to give enantiomers w ith the planar chirality only.
