MEASUREMENT OF L-SHELL FLUORESCENCE YIELDS OF SOME ELEMENTS IN THE ATOMIC RANGE 5-LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO-2-LESS-THAN-OR-EQUAL-TO-74 USING PHOTOIONIZATION

L-shell fluorescence yields were measured for seven elements Tb, Dy, H
o, Er, Yb, Ta, and W using a Ge(Li) detector. The targets were excited
using 59.5-keV gamma rays from Am-241 radioactive source of strengths
100 mCi. The results obtained were compared with the theoretical valu
es and other measured values. It is shown that the present results are
in good agreement with earlier experimental and theoretical results.
