The boundary-layer meso-gamma-model was used for calculating wind and
turbulence characteristics inside the wind farm. The study demonstrate
s the ability of the model to describe wind and turbulence fields in m
ore detail than climatological analysis only. Velocity deficit at the
hubheight of the wind turbine and standard deviation components inside
the wind farm were calculated for various environmental situations wh
ich are constructed as combinations of the large scale input parameter
s of the model with surface and landscape characteristics. The load ef
fects on the wind turbine were parameterized, and the calculated wind
profiles inside the wind farm were compared with measurements. (C) 199
