Abstract
In this paper, a new method is presented for solving the periodic resp onse of a non-linear system. Both period-one and subharmonic responses can be obtained by the method. The stability and bifurcation of the s olutions are discussed. Specifically, the period doubling and symmetry -breaking bifurcation are studied in detail. (C) 1998 Academic Press.
