We study phase transitions of small two-dimensional Lennard-Jones drop
s via microcanonical molecular dynamics in a broad energy range. We fo
und that the caloric curve can be extended to high energies to compreh
end high evaporation rates and highly nonequilibrium phenomena such as
multifragmentation. Multifragmentation appears as a constant temperat
ure region in the caloric curve like the solid-liquid phase transition
