Abstract
High-spin states of Tb-153 were populated via the reaction La-139(O-18 ,4n) at a beam energy of 100 MeV. Previously known bands have been ext ended beyond the region of the first i(13/2) neutron alignment and two new structures have been identified. The rotational alignment behavio r of the pi h(11/2) and new bands are discussed. Quasiparticle assignm ents are suggested for the latter. B(MI)IB(E2) ratios were extracted a nd compared to theoretical calculations.
