We investigate the Coulomb dissociation of two-neutron halo nuclei, as
suming that the excitation of the projectile is to states in the conti
nuum with low energy. The method presented retains all finite-range ef
fects associated with the interactions between the breakup fragments a
nd can use realistic three-body wave functions for the two-neutron hal
o nuclei. The method is applied to He-6, at incident energies below 10
0 MeV/nucleon, and calculations are compared with available data for t
he alpha-particle energy spectrum following the breakup of He-6 on a h
eavy target.
