Abstract
We give a brief overview of some recent developments using concepts an d techniques from spin glass theory in the study of other disordered s ystems. We discuss in particular the equilibrium correlations of a vor tex lattice pinned by impurities. We mention how the replica approach, and the spontaneous breaking of replica symmetry, can be brought to b ear on these problems.
