Abstract
The system CTAB/poly(propylene glycol) (PPG) (MW = 425, 1000) at low c oncentration has been characterized by conductivity, steady-state fluo rescence quenching, and surface tension measurements. Its influence in the basic hydrolysis of the crystal violet has also been studied. The results show that PPG (MW = 425, 1000) behaves as a medium chain alco hol.
