Abstract
From the stem bark of Erythrina burttii, two new flavanones were isola ted and characterised as -4'-methoxy-3',5'-di-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)flav anone (trivial name, abyssinone V-4'-methyl ether) and methylbut-1-eny l)-5'-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)flavanone (trivial name, burttinone). In add ition, seven known compounds were identified. Structures were determin ed on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. (C) 1998 Published by Elsev ier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
