Abstract
We describe the isolation of Actinobacillus equuli from the blood of a 53-year-old butcher with septicemia. This species of the genus Actino bacillus is primarily associated with animals and animal diseases, esp ecially septicemia in foals. This is the first report of the isolation of A. equuli from a human with septicemia.
