Abstract
A new formula for the limiting force to be used in dual control vibrat ion resting is explored by use of a simple but general-purpose example . The results of the force formula are compared with the exact solutio n and found to be in excellent agreement. Extrapolation from random vi bration to sine sweep testing is included.
