Lm. Rodriguez et Mm. Longhi, EFFECT OF NAPHTHALENE ACETIC-ACID ON ROOTING OF SEVERAL CULM SECTIONSOF BAMBUSA-VULGARIS, Revista de biologia tropical, 46, 1998, pp. 61-64
Several concentrations of L-naphthalene acetic acid (N.A.A.) were test
ed on Bambusa vulgaris using sectioned culms. There was no significant
effect, but the position of buds in the culm differed. Bud position i
n the control group produced the best results, followed by distal and
median sections when treated with 1000 ppm of N.A.A. Basal section tre
ated with 2000 ppm. was the best, the distal and media sections were c
onsiderated good when they received 1000 ppm of N.A.A. and the basal w
hen it received 2000 ppm of N.A.A. The other tests were negative.
