ISOSTRUCTURAL MIXED-LIGAND COMPLEXES OF [VO](2-DIMETHYLPYRAZOLYL)BORATO AND 1,3-DIPHENYL-1,3-PROPANEDIONATO LIGANDS() AND [INCL](2+) WITH HYDROTRIS(3,5)

The crystal and molecular structures of ropanedionato-kappa(2)O,O')oxo [tris(3,5-dimethyl-1 -pyrazolyl-kappa N-2)hydroborato]vanadium(IV) (1) and -kappa(2)O,O')[tris(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazolyl-kappa N-2)hydroborat o]indium(III) methyl cyanide (2) have been determined. The crystals of both (1) and (2) consist of discrete six-coordinate molecules which h ave distorted octahedral geometries. As expected, there is a lengtheni ng of the V-N bond trans to the terminal oxo group in the vanadium com plex with a similar, but less pronounced, lengthening of the In-N bond trans to the chloro group in the indium complex.
