The molecular conformation of the title compound, alpha phenylbenzylam monium chloride, is helical C-2 with ring twist angles of 57.8(3) and 68.3(2)degrees. Pairs of doubly hydrogen-bonded molecules, connected b y hydrogen bonds, form infinite chains along b.
