The molecular conformation of the title compound, loro-alpha-(4-chloro phenyl)-N,N-diethylbenzylamine hydrochloride (C17H20Cl2N+.Cl-), is hel ical C-s with ring twist angles of -77.0(3) and 62.9(4)degrees. The C- H bridge group is involved in a short C-H...Cl contact [3.599(5)Angstr om].
