Abstract
Booth multipliers, widely used as embedded cores in general purpose da ta path structures and specialized digital signal processors, pose ser ious testability problems. This generic BIST scheme does not require D FT modifications in the multiplier structure, guarantees fault coverag e higher than 99%, and con be adopted by any module generator.
