Abstract
Methods of spectral analysis of local plastic deformations in polycrys talline copper on three structural levels are used to show that the te ndency to synchronization is a general dynamic characteristic of the p lastic deformation kinetics, and is a measure of the self-organization , evolution, stability, and decay of the dissipative structures in def ormable polycrystals. The synchronization effect is directly related t o the strength and plasticity characteristics. (C) 1998 American Insti tute of Physics.
