Abstract
In our studies efficient continuous regeneration of Cichorium intybus L. var. sativum Lam et DC. has been investigated, indicating the posit ive effect of ancymidol on regeneration ability. Multiple shoot induct ion and rapid regeneration were obtained on MS-Medium supplemented wit h 1.5 mg/l ancymidol. As explant material leaf midrib segments were us ed. Plants developed after four weeks of incubation. Regenerated plant s were successfully transferred to soil.
