Abstract
Tris(phenylselanyl)methane, C19H16Se3, crystallizes in the rhombohedra l space group R (3) over bar, with the CH group situated on a threefol d axis. The selenium-carbon bond to the aromatic ring is slightly shor ter than that to the aliphatic C atom. The tetrahedral angles at the m ethane C atom range between 107.4(1) and 111.5 (1)degrees.
