Vs. Kuzmin et al., NOISE-IMMUNITY OF DEVICES FOR CELESTIAL ORIENTATION INSTALLED ON THE FOBOS SPACECRAFT, Journal of optical technology, 65(8), 1998, pp. 606-609
This paper describes the factors of outer space that affect the noise
immunity of devices for celestial orientation. Theoretical and experim
ental estimates have been made of the output characteristics of optoel
ectronic devices installed on the Fobos spacecraft. This analysis show
s that the false pulses observed in flight in the channel of the optoe
lectronic devices can be caused by the action of high-energy particles
of galactic cosmic radiation. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America
