Abstract
This paper discusses methods of enhancing the accuracy of wide-field a stronautical instruments by certification and by taking into account s ystematic errors caused by geometrical and energy distortion of the ob jective. Functions and parameters are proposed for analytically descri bing the errors, along with a technique for documenting them. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America.
