Abstract
This paper discusses prospective systems for constructing IR devices f or orientation with respect to the earth, based on uncooled array radi ation detectors. It shows that it is possible in principle to create s uch devices with a measurement accuracy of 1-3 arc min for near-earth spacecraft. (C) 1998 The Optical Society of America.
