Abstract
Teleradiology systems are rapidly being deployed by an increasing numb er of radiological services. Many articles have already been published on the technological developments of teleradiology but little attenti on has been given to its expected impact on the delivery of health car e. This review article will therefore outline the historical and curre nt technological developments of teleradiology and its potential futur e implementation into mainstream radiology.
