Abstract
Study of the structure and lithology of the Riphean shale-silicic-basa lt series of the Barguzin Ridge has permitted reconstruction of the de ep-water conditions of its formation. The basalts of this series belon g to different chemical types: N-type, SOC P-type, and island are. The series in association with ultrabasic bodies characterizes an ophioli te zone, which is referred to the Baikal-Muya ophiolite belt.
