t of 2,2'-bipy gives the crystallographically characterised iodide dis
placed product [WCl(CO)(2,2'-bipy)(eta(2)-MeC2Me)(2)]I, which proves d
efinitively that iodide is displaced in preference to chloride for the
first time in these mixed halide complexes.
