Abstract
The elastic constants C-11, C-33, C = (C-11 + C-12 + 2C(66)(E))/2, C- 44(E), C-44(D) and C-66(E), have been investigated from room temperatu re up to 195 degrees C. Small but unambiguous features are observed fo r most constants in the vicinity of 125 +/- 5 degrees C. They confirm the existence of a transition which has been suggested by several prev ious studies by other techniques. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All r ights reserved.
