A personal computer driven equipment designed for Rayleigh scattering
of Mossbauer radiation experiments at room temperature is described. T
he performances of the system were tested using like scatterers crysta
ls with different mosaic divergences: lithium fluoride (LiF) and pyrol
ytic graphite (C). The equipment, suitable for any kind of Mossbauer s
cattering experiments, permits low and adjustable horizontal divergenc
es of the incident beam.
