Y. Rouault, CHANGE OF THE SCALING BEHAVIOR OF THE END-TO-END SQUARE DISTANCE IN A2-DIMENSIONAL POLYDISPERSE SYSTEM, EUROPEAN PHYSICAL JOURNAL B, 4(1), 1998, pp. 61-64
The simulation of a two-dimensional, broadly polydisperse, living poly
mers system at high concentration reveals an unusual conformational be
haviour for the longer chains. Unlike in three dimensions, the longer
chains are not swollen but are squeezed by the smaller chains. This ob
servation is discussed in terms of a two dimensional solvent- polymer
mixture whose solvent particules are larger than the polymer monomers.
