Experiments have exhibited a very rich interplay between laser plasma
instabilities. We examine two simple examples to illustrate how laser-
driven waves can either directly influence one another or exhibit corr
elated behavior. Related experiments are discussed. Scaling based on i
nstability gain using linear Landau damping rates is shown to be gener
ally inadequate. Lastly we note that modified electron distributions d
ue to collisional and nonlocal heat transport can be important to incl
ude in the zeroth order description.
