Abstract
The methods of synthesis of acrolein and its alpha-alkylsubstitutes by a catalytic oxidation of propylene, isobutylene, propane and isobutan e, propyl and t-butyl alcohols, t-butylalkanoates, propionic aldehyde and iso-butyraldehyde, allylalcohol and its ethers are considered. The acrolein and its alpha-alkylsubstitutes production by condensation of formaldehyde with aliphatic aldehydes on the basis of Mannich reactio n, as well as in the vapor phase in the presence of heterogeneous cata lysts is given. General methods (Mannich reaction, ipso-substitution o f alpha-halogen in acrylic system, interaction of 1-brom-2-ethoxycyclo propyllithium with electrophiles) as well as numerous special ones are used for synthesis of the alpha-functionally substituted alpha,beta-u nsaturated aldehydes.
