Abstract
Meningo-encephalocoeles of the skull base may present as spontaneous c erebrospinal fluid rhinorrhoea or acute meningitis. Previous approache s to midline skull base lesions have been either intracranial, via a c raniotomy, or by transfacial or endoscopic extracranial approaches. Th is paper presents an alternative approach to lateral sphenoid sinus en cephalocoeles through a Le Fort I osteotomy approach.
