Abstract
Eighteen species of the lichen genus Peltigera are recognized on the m ainland of Spain. For each species the diagnostic characters and main habitats are given as well as the distribution. P. lepidophora is repo rted for the first time, P. britannica, P. kristinssonii and P. ponoje nsis for the second time from Spain.
