Abstract
Theoretical and experimental investigations of electric field selectiv ity of reflection volume holograms in the geometry of the transverse e lectro-optic effect in LiNbO3 are presented. The orientation of the Li NbO3 allowing one to optimize the electric field selectivity has been found. Seventeen holograms were recorded in various electric fields, w hich demonstrates the efficiency of electric field multiplexing. (C) 1 998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
