s are widely appreciated, and steps to control these have included leg
islative efforts such as right-to-know laws of well as corporate polic
ies mandating selective restriction of fertile women, which are illega
l under federal civil rights laws. This chapter reviews the various oc
cupational health risks reproductive women face in the workplace but a
lso considers the effects of other genetic, medical, social, infectiou
s, and environmental factors which may be of even greater concern than
most occupational factors.
