The preparation and stability of the [Tc=N] intermediate and (TCN)-T-9
9m(NOEt)(2) (NOEt: N-ethoxy, N-ethyl dithiocarbamate) which is a poten
tial myocardial imaging agent containing [Tc=N](2+) core, is reported.
In the presence of a reducer and a donor of N, the [Tc=N] intermediat
e could be conveniently synthesized at 100 degrees C, allowing the for
mation of (TcN)-Tc-99m(NOEt)(2) by addition of NaNOEt at room temperat
ure. The change of the composition of the intermediate was investigate
d at different pH values, and the radiochemical purity (RCP) of the co
mplex was evaluated by HPLC. The partition coefficient and stability i
n vitro of (TcN)-Tc-99m(NOEt)(2) were determined, the complex had a RC
