Abstract
We derive the analytical form of a temperature-dependent free electron dynamic response function starting from its Green's function represen tation by evaluating contributions from the poles of Green's function. The numerical analysis confirms that our analytical results are suffi ciently accurate up to several times the Fermi temperature irrespectiv e of omega dependence. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
