Abstract
Analyzed are some constructive reasons of failure of latching systems
of ETA elevators. Given the results of work fulfilled on ETA moderniza
tion. Developed a new design of elevator (ETA-P) with a stationary han
dle and fixing of gripping joint with the help of finger. Serial manuf
acturing of ETA-P elevators has been started since the end of 1997 by
Ishimbai Machinery Plant JSC.
