The statistics of energy eigenvalues for a class of Hamiltonians writt
en as H = H-0 + tV is studied through the dynamics of levels regarding
the perturbation parameter t as time. The statistical properties of e
igenvalues are investigated by measuring quantities such as the neares
t-neighbor level spacing distribution and the Dyson-Metha <(Delta)over
bar (3)> statistics for two types of ensembles known as orthogonal an
d unitary, and for three values of the system parameter controlling ch
