Abstract
The generation method of adaptive mesh applied to the numerical resear ch of estuary and harbor region is presented. It can overcome the diff iculties that occurred in boundary fitting by using regular mesh in th e simulation of hydrodynamics for the estuary of the Yangtze River and the Hangzhou Bay. Reasonable results are achieved.
