Si. Grashchenkov et al., EVAPORATION OF 2 DROPLETS WITH ACCOUNT TO TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION JUMPS, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 60(4), 1998, pp. 414-419
The problem of free evaporation of two interacting moderate-sized drop
lets of a pure substance was solved by taking into account the jumps i
n temperature and concentration of vapor on their surfaces. While anal
ytically solving this problem, a relatively simple system of algebraic
equations was derived. This system allows us to determine the coeffic
ients of the equations for the fluxes of the molecules and temperature
and concentration distributions of the gaseous components. The depend
ences of the molecular fluxes evolved from the surface of water drople
ts occurring in the air at the distance between the droplets, their ra
dii, and air humidity were estimated numerically.
