Abstract
The standard model for photorefractivity, which was originally develop ed for inorganic photorefractive crystals, yields a relation between t he pertinent parameters of photoconductivity and the holographic respo nse time. We investigated a photorefractive guest host polymer with re spect to these properties by photoconduction and holographic experimen ts. Our system consists of a photoconducting siloxane polymer, which i s sensitized by trinitrofluorenone, and an azo chromophore as nonlinea r optical moiety. We compare measurements of photoconduction and respo nse time as a function of the external electric field and the incident Light intensity in order to test the applicability of the standard mo del to photorefractive polymers.
