Lhc. Merschmann et At. Bernardes, INFLUENCE OF THE TAIL LENGTH IN THE AGGREGATION OF SURFACTANTS, International journal of modern physics C, 9(5), 1998, pp. 737-744
A lattice model is used to simulate the dependence of the condensation
temperature of ternary mixtures (water-oil-surfactants) on varying ta
il length. Nonionic single-tailed amphiphiles are assumed. We have obt
ained the result that the longer the tail length, the higher is the co
ndensation temperature. We also discuss the influence of the head-head
interaction on that temperature.
