The Edwards-Anderson parameters for the reorientational relaxation of
linear solute molecules are calculated within a mode-coupling theory (
MCT). The translational and orientational dynamics of the linear trace
r particle in a supercooled liquid reveals the unconventional dynamics
of the host fluid. The considered tracers are top-down symmetrical du
mbbells consisting of two fused spheres. A type A transition separates
the freezing of the orientational degrees of freedom for odd angular
momenta. The phase diagram is presented in terms of density of the sol
