Abstract
A two-stage mnltihop shuffle network is experimentally demonstrated. T he system is implemented using two-dimensional multiple-plane waveleng th-division-multiplexed (WDM) optical interconnections consisting of a n integrated multiple-wavelength WDM transmitting vertical-cavity surf ace-emitting laser arrays and three wavelength-selective detector arra ys. Two-hop data relay of the two-stage shuffle network multihop is pe rformed at 622 and 155 Mb/s for a two-wavelength and a three-wavelengt h fanout, respectively.
