Abstract
Preliminary studies were conducted to assess the degree of decolourati on of the dye, procion Red MX-5B and the coloured textile effluent usi ng the pre grown mycelium and the spores of the fungus, Phanerochaete chrysosporium. It was found that higher cell loading resulted in highe r degree of decolourisation.
