The atomic structure of ZnCl2. 2CO(NH2)(2) single crystals has been de
termined by the methods of the X-ray structure analysis. The crystals
are triclinic with the unit cell parameters a = 6.275, b = 6.835, c =
11, 862 Angstrom; alpha = 79.19 degrees, beta = 72.31 degrees, gamma =
67.21 degrees; Z = 2; and sp. gr. P (1) over bar. The crystal consist
s of individual molecules tetrahedrally coordinated with Zn atoms. The
Zn-Cl bond lengths are equal to 2.218 and 2.238 Angstrom; the Zn-O bo
nd lengths are equal to 1.947 and 1.986 Angstrom; the angles are: ClZn
Cl 118.6, OZnO 99.24, and ClZnO 107.68-110.18 degrees.
