Abstract
The question of the stabilization by state feedback of an infinite-dim ensional continuous-time system is discussed. Systems are introduced f or which no state feedback exists such that the closed-loop system is exponentially stable. But it is shown that a state feedback exists suc h that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable. (C) 1998 Elsev ier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
